“Get some f**king glasses!” – Ime Udoka risks hefty fine by RIPPING referees over controversial calls
Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka could face a big fine for his comments about the referees' decisions in the defeat to the Sacramento Kings.
Ime Udoka
Houston Rockets‘ Ime Udoka and Alperen Sengun were ejected from Tuesday night’s NBA Cup game against the Sacramento Kings, a contest the Houston Rockets lost 120-111. The pair’s ejection marked a frustrating turn of events for the Rockets.
During his postgame interview, Udoka didn’t mince his words when expressing his views about the referee’s decisions during the game. He said that his team got fouled a couple of times on their drive and layups and didn’t get their fouls called by the referees.
The loss proved costly for the Rockets, as it knocked them out as the top seed in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. Despite a hard-fought effort, they were unable to overcome the Kings’ strong performance, and the defeat dropped them down the standings.
Head coach Udoka’s frustration reached a boiling point during the game. After a series of missed calls by the referees left him visibly upset, he made his displeasure known to the referee. Udoka’s vocal protests were short-lived, as John Goble quickly ejected him from the game.
