The 39-year-old is a 23-time Grand Slam champion and runs a successful business empire. This kind of work/life balance is very important for any person, and Serena Williams has mastered this.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Williams highlighted the importance of getting that balance in your life. And what you can achieve professionally if you have a balanced life. “Life is really about balance. You have to balance spiritually, physically, and mentally,” Williams said.

The former Olympic gold medalist then details how being mentally stable helps an individual in doing very well in his/her professional life. “If you’re happy then you win, and then you win because you’re happy. Imagine going out to work and being sad? You’re not going to play well,” Williams said.
Further, Williams added, “It’s important that in order to play well, you have joys in life and to have things to look forward to.”
The American then said that you might not achieve everything that you hoped for, but having a positive mindset will help you overcome that setback. ”You might not win every tournament, but still you can have an opportunity to look forward to just relaxing and having balance. I think that this is super important,” Williams acknowledges.
Williams also believes that one need’s to enjoy small moments in their lives, and follows this same mantra herself. “You also have to have fun and let go. That’s one thing that I think is important to talk about. It’s about finding those little moments off the court,” Williams concluded.
