Paula Badosa has officially confirmed that she and fellow tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas have ended their relationship. The pair began dating in May 2023 and quickly attracted attention due to their status as two of the sport’s most recognizable players. Their romance was often highlighted as one of tennis’s biggest power pairings.

Reports had already hinted at a breakup earlier in the summer, shortly after both players suffered first-round exits at Wimbledon. Following the tournament, fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on social media. Many photos of them together also quietly disappeared from their accounts. Badosa wrote on Instagram:

Chapter 28, here we go! Heart full…Thank you to the ones who made it so special.

Speculation only grew as the months passed, with neither player addressing the situation publicly. Their silence fueled curiosity among fans who had followed the relationship closely. The lack of interaction between the two added weight to the assumption that they had separated.

Badosa finally confirmed the split in a recent social media post celebrating her 28th birthday. In the photos, she wore playful banners reading “sexy and single” and “28 and still a 10,” making her relationship status unmistakably clear. Her message suggested she is embracing a fresh start as she enters a new chapter of her life.

Stefanos Tsitsipas lands a coaching offer

Stefanos Tsitsipas may be experiencing one of the tougher periods of his career, but he recently made it clear that he is committed to returning to his top level. His renewed determination caught the attention of many in the tennis world. Among those noticing was former Australian player and well-known commentator Rennae Stubbs, who even offered to help guide him back to form. She wrote on X:

Hire me.

The 2025 season has been far from ideal for the 27-year-old. Apart from winning an ATP 500 title in Dubai, his results have been inconsistent, reflected in a modest 22–18 record. A lingering lower back issue and off-court instability have contributed to his drop to No. 34 in the ATP rankings.

Much of that instability stemmed from issues within his coaching team, particularly his long-standing partnership with his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas. Their relationship reached a breaking point at last season’s National Bank Open in Montreal, leading Stefanos to part ways with him. Tsitsipas later admitted that the constant sideline pressure had become overwhelming and that he needed a new coaching structure.

The turbulence continued when Tsitsipas hired Goran Ivanišević in May, a collaboration that ended only two months later. Their time together produced little success, and Ivanišević openly criticized Tsitsipas for lacking preparation.

Stubbs, who has coached numerous top players, including Karolina Pliskova, Sam Stosur, Eugenie Bouchard, and briefly Serena Williams, is familiar with high-level demands and positioned herself as a potential solution for the Greek star.

Stefanos Tsitsipas reveals the biggest day of his tennis career

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas cemented his place among the sport’s top players when he captured his first major title at the ATP Finals in 2019. That tournament marked a turning point in his career and showcased his potential on the big stage. It remains one of the standout achievements of his early years on tour. He wrote on X, a couple of days ago:

Six years ago, I experienced my greatest joy as a tennis player, winning the ATP Finals on my debut. Tsitsipas shared that playing and defeating Dominic Thiem in the final made the shock victory even more special. It was especially beautiful sharing the stage with Domi, my best friend on tour. The high may have worn off, but I will do everything to ride it again.

While the 2025 season saw him nowhere near qualifying for the year-end championships, his performance in 2019 told a very different story. Entering the event as the sixth seed, he delivered one of the strongest runs of his career. Along the way, he upset stars like Daniil Medvedev, Roger Federer, and Alexander Zverev to reach the final.

Now six years removed from that milestone, Tsitsipas has taken time to reflect on the significance of the triumph. The victory still stands out as one of the defining moments of his journey. It also serves as a reminder of the level he is capable of reaching when at his best.

On the day of the 2025 ATP Finals, Tsitsipas shared his memories of that win on social media. He recalled his gripping three-set battle against Dominic Thiem in the championship match. The final was decided by a dramatic third-set tiebreak, sealing one of the most memorable victories of his career.
