The senior Indian cricket team is competing at the Asia Cup with its Asian counterparts. Well, correspondingly, the junior team, which is the India A, has explored outside Asia as they have an ‘A’ Tour against their Australian counterparts.

The Australian A team will be touring India for the next 20 days starting from the 16th of September. Coincidentally, the senior women’s team is also playing an ODI series against Australia currently, and the men will play a white ball series from mid-October. Let’s dive deeper into India A’s assignment against Australia A.

India A vs. Australia A Schedule

The India A vs. Australia A series has a total of five matches in it. The two teams will first start by playing two Test matches. Those matches will not be the traditional 5-day games but will be held for four days each. The first Test will be from the 16th of September to 19th.

The second Test will start after a 4-day break on the 23rd and will end on the 26th. Both the Test matches will be played in Lucknow at the Ekana Stadium. Post the Test matches, both the teams will travel to Kanpur for a three match ODI series. The first of those will be held on September 30. The next on the third of October and the final ODI will be held on the 5th of October.

The India A ODI team will be slightly different for the first ODI and will have players adding to it for the second and third. The first ODI will see Rajat Patidar as captain, who has had an incredible past few months as captain. The likes of talked about talents like Riyan Parag, Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni will also be there.
