Indian athletes at Tokyo 2020 have not performed as per the expectations of the fans. With a solitary medal after six days of play, India stands at the 43rd position in the medal tally. However, several top athletes and medal prospects across various sports are still in the fray and will be seen in action as the tournament progresses.
Coming to the action on July 29, PV Sindhu (badminton) and M. C. Mary Kom (boxing) are set to play their respective round of 16 matches. Apart from this, Anirban Lahiri and Udayan Mane will kickstart India’s representation in golf at Tokyo 2020.
