India vs Australia: ‘Bittersweet seeing Maxwell do what he does best’ – Kings XI Punjab’s tweet goes viral

Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell got back to his explosive form after a disappointing Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with a blistering knock of 45 off just 19 deliveries in the first ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Earlier, winning the toss and choosing to bat, openers David Warner and Aaron Finch had made merry to notch up a fourth 150+ partnership against India. After Warner’s dismissal for 69, Finch went on and got his 17th ODI century. In at No.3, Steve Smith also joined in on the act and scored an explosive century. The Indian bowlers kept leaking runs as Australia posted a mammoth score of 374 in 50 overs.
Kings XI Punjab tweet on Glenn Maxwell
Following Glenn Maxwell’s blitzkrieg against India, his IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the innings. They tweeted saying, “Bittersweet seeing Maxwell do what he does best.”
Maxwell had a torrid run at this year’s IPL as he could manage only 108 runs in 13 matches. A tally that saw him hit no sixes, something that he is known for. Today however, he seemed like the vintage Maxwell who is feared by bowlers around the world as he kept hitting fours and sixes at will.
