India vs Australia: Watch as Indian players face sledging even by the Brisbane crowd

Incidents of poor gamesmanship continue not only by the Australian players but also by the Australian in-stadium spectators. During the Day 1 of the ongoing fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar series at the Gabba, the crowd hurled unpleasant words to the Indian players, much like the previous test match in Sydney.
According to a Sydney Morning Herald report, both Siraj and Washington Sundar were repeatedly labelled ‘grubs’ by a group of fans. “The guys behind me have been calling – shouting – both Washington and Siraj grubs,” the paper quotes a spectator known as Kate.
“It started targeted at Siraj and it was a chant similar to the SCG one (“Que Shiraz, Shiraz” to the tune of Que Sera, Sera). “But this time it was Siraj. I suspect it’s not a coincidence that it’s Siraj being targeted post the SCG stuff.”
Brisbane fans were heard yelling at fast bowler Mohammed Siraj in footage which has circulated on social media today, with the bowler labelled a ‘bloody grub’.
Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah also faced such racial and unhealthy remarks from the fans in the third Test match in Sydney. The incident happened on consecutive days- day 4 and day 5 of Sydney’s Test, post which the matter was brought to ICC’s notice.
Even though the demeaning incident at the SCG invited huge criticisms from the cricketing fraternity, with Cricket Australia coming out with an official apology, the incident of oral brawl recurred in Brisbane’s Test match.
