India vs Australia: Twitter reacts as India trounce Australia to level Test series

India well and truly put the memories of the horror defeat at the Adelaide Oval in the first Test behind them by winning the second Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. With the win, India leveled the series and more importantly got back on the right track after what seemed like a demoralizing defeat in the first Test that wouldn’t be easy to recover from.

Skipper Ajinkya Rahane led from the front with his fantastic century for India in the first innings to ensure India got a sizeable first innings lead after bowling out the hosts for 195. The bowlers were excellent in the second innings as well and India had to chase only 70 runs which they did with ease.

The series is now evenly poised with all to play for in the third Test which is also expected to take place at the MCG due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Sydney – the originally planned venue.
