India vs Australia: Wasim Jaffer posts hidden message on Twitter for stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane

As India are reeling from the demoralizing defeat in the first Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval, the already-known news of Virat Kohli missing the next three Tests have only rubbed salt to their wounds. Without their talismanic skipper, India will be led by vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane who now has the weight of expectations on his shoulder.
The next Test is scheduled to begin on Boxing Day – December 26th at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and due to the multiple failures by personnel in the first Test, there has arisen a need to pick players from the bench for the Test. The likes of Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are in the reckoning to be picked and so are KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj in place of Kohli and the injured Mohammed Shami respectively.
‘Pick Gill and Rahul’ – Jaffer’s message for Rahane
Former Indian batsmen, Wasim Jaffer who is known to be quite active on social media, took to Twitter today to post a ‘message’ for stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane. His message on initial viewing read, “Dear @ajinkyarahane88, here’s a (hidden) message for you. Good luck for Boxing Day! People In Cricket Know Grief In Life Lingers Aplenty Never Dabble Rise and Handcraft Unique Legacy. PS: you guys are open to have a go and decode the msg too.”
However, due to the placement of the words, the secret message when the first letters of each word is put together reads, “Pick Gill and Rahul.” This unique piece of advice from Jaffer has caught the attention of Twitterati. It remains to be seen if India will go for the changes that he has vouched for.
