India celebrate a wicket on Day 1 of the fourth Test

The fourth and final Test between India and Australia began today with the hosts ending the day on top with a score of 274/5. India had to make a plethora of forced changes due to injuries and went with a bowling line-up that had a combined experience of four Tests among them. Despite the same, they did bowl in good areas and managed to pick up 5 wickets to ensure the visitors weren’t out of the game.

Debutants Washington Sundar and T Natarajan shone with the former picking up the crucial wicket of Steve Smith and the latter sending back centurion Marnus Labuschagne and the well-set Matthew Wade. A very crucial Day 2 awaits the Indians as they will want to bowl out the Aussies as soon as possible and get on with their batting effort.

Rishabh Pant wants review; Rohit laughs it off

During the 84th over of the first innings on Day 1, a T Natarajan delivery fizzed past Tim Paine’s bat. Rishabh Pant who caught the ball went for an appeal but both the bowler and the fielders were unmoved. Pant then turned to captain Ajinkya Rahane to persuade him to take a review. However, Rahane chose not to and dismissed the keeper’s claims.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma who was standing in the slip cordon laughed off Pant’s attempts at persuading Rahane. This hilarious incident has since then gone viral on social media with people finding Pant’s attempts at convincing the skipper as well as Rohit Sharma’s reaction extremely funny.
