India vs Australia: “Your time will come” – Ajinkya Rahane praises Kuldeep Yadav and Kartik Tyagi

India fashioned a remarkable turnaround from their loss against Australia in Adelaide to come roaring back and take the Test series 2-1. Since the conclusion of the series, plaudits have continued to pour in from cricketers and fans around the world who have hailed the turnaround and the series win against all odds as probably the greatest series win in the history of Indian Test cricket.
India were faced with a plethora of injuries throughout the series so much so that 20 out of 22 players who were a part of the squad or the bio-bubble got a chance to play a Test match. The only two who didn’t get a chance were spinner Kuldeep Yadav who was a part of the squad and young fast bowler Kartik Tyagi who was a net bowler and hence, a part of the bio-bubble.
‘Your attitude was really good’ – Ajinkya Rahane
The official handle of the BCCI posted a video today of skipper Ajinkya Rahane addressing the Indian team after the victory at the Gabba. He is seen talking of how massive the win is for Indian cricket before lauding Kuldeep Yadav and Kartik Tyagi in particular for showing great attitude despite not getting a single game.
“This is a massive moment for all of us. What happened in Adelaide, how we came back from Melbourne onwards was really good to see. Everyone did their effort, everyone contributed, it was not about one or two individuals. I just want to mention Kuldeep Yadav and Kartik Tyagi. Kuldeep, I know it was tough for you, you did not play a game here but your attitude was really good. Your time will come, just keep working hard. Kartik you were fantastic,” he said.
India’s focus will now shift to the home series against England which is set to begin with the first Test in Chennai on February 5.
