James Anderson celebrating after taking a wicket

James Anderson shows no signs of disagreement when Team England plans to rest their star bowler for the second Test against India.

Anderson gave one of his most riveting shows with the ball when he scalped three of India’s wickets- Shubman Gill, Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant in small intervals during India’s second innings on the last day of the first Test match.

England might bring their rotation policy to the practice again and play with Stuart Broad and rest James Anderson. Though Broad had been in fine touch for the past year-and-a half, he didn’t play the first Test against India following England’s rotation policy.

Hinting on the application of the rotation policy on him, Anderson said, “When a batsman gets in rhythm and form, they want to keep batting and keep that rhythm going, and it’s the same for a bowler.”

“You want to keep that going if possible, but I’m very aware that we’ve got four Test matches in quick succession here and there will probably be a need to rest and rotate. So I’m not assuming anything.”

England head coach Chris Silverwood hailed James Anderson

“He is in the best shape of his life. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed, he’s worked extremely hard in his fitness. And he’s in great shape and he’s bowling beautifully,” the English coach said in a virtual news conference on Wednesday.

Silverwood also spoke of Anderson’s dicey participation in the second Test.

England coach Chris Silverwood admitted on Wednesday: “It is hard (to leave Anderson out), he is a class act. But you’ll have to wait and see.

“I’m not reluctant to change a winning team now if it’s the best thing to do for the players, the team and the longevity of it.”

However, it is assured that England will make at least one change to their team. The wicketkeeper Jos Buttler is to take a pre-arranged break, and Ben Stokes set to return behind the stumps.
