India vs England 2021: T Natarajan returns to team after passing fitness test

India’s left-arm pacer T Natarajan shot to fame in the Indian Premier League 2020 following an impressive display. Riding on a great IPL season, Natarajan broke into the national side. He impressed one and all in the Australia tor as he debuted for India in all three formats. Natarajan’s ability to bowl impeccable yorkers makes him a great asset for the side.

Much was expected from the 29-year-old as he was all set to play his first game at home. But a shoulder injury and knee niggle saw him get ruled out of the first four games. He is being looked at the team’s X-factor going into the T20 World Cup at home.

Natarajan has joined the side for the final T20I at Ahemadabad. A BCCI source shared that the left-arm quick has cleared all the fitness tests and the mandatory quarantine period too.

Natarajan has passed all the mandatory fitness tests including YoYo and 2km run. He had flown into Ahmedabad a few days back but had to undergo mandatory hard quarantine since he was not a part of the bubble,” a senior BCCI official told PTI.

Today, his quarantine got over and he could sit in the dugout. He will certainly be available for selection in the next game also and for the 50 over games,” he said.

His addition to the side will be a huge boost for the hosts. With the final T20 set to decide the winner of the series, both sides will be looking to give their best. And earn some much-needed confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup.
