India vs England 2021: WATCH- Rishabh Pant grabs an amazing one-handed catch to send Jack Leach to pavilion
It seems like Rishabh Pant has honed his wicketkeeping skills and has come stronger as a wholesome package of wicketkeeper-batsmen. In the ongoing second Test match, he pocketed two spectacular catches, with Leach’s dismissal against Ishant Sharma’s bowling as the recent one.
Just when England were on the verge of perishing in their first innings, pacer Ishant Sharma got off Jack Leach, who looked promising at one point. Leach’s dismissal happened in the 59th over amid the crisis situation for the England batsmen.
Rishabh Pant’s stunning catch
Sharma changed the bowling angle slightly and bowled a delivery outside off. Tempted with this, Leach pushed the ball a little which then bulleted to the wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant after taking an edge.
Rishabh Pant, with utmost vigilance, grabbed it via one hand while jumping off to his left and set Leach’s walk to the pavilion after scoring five runs.
Just some moments before, Pant took an astonishing catch to topple Olle Pope Mohammed Siraj’s first delivery on the Indian soil. Besides, gritty Pant was exceptional in India’s first innings where he had smashed 58 runs. His fiery knock included seven fours and three sixes.
