Indian skipper Virat Kohli who was uncharacteristically out for a duck in the first innings of the second Test against England came roaring back in the second innings with a sublime effort in the second. He came up with a patient knock of 62 which rescued India from a precarious position. He put on an excellent partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin and took India to a position of great strength.

Ashwin then went on to keep scoring quick runs after Kohli’s dismissal and it culminated in a fantastic century by the hometown hero. Apart from the excellent cricket on display during the partnership, there was a moment of controversy when Kohli was warned by the umpire Nitin Menon for running on the pitch. Soon after the incident, fans took to Twitter to react to the same and give their views.
