Up till now, almost all the tracks where the Test matches were played assisted spinners more than the pacers. Even though the first two matches at Chennai still had some offerings for pacers, the track at Ahmedabad had zilch assistance to the pace battery.

Neither of the competing Teams gave the their pacers a chance during the second innings during the third Test in Ahmedabad.

In the first Test match in Chennai, Bumrah took four wickets while he was rested in the second Test. However, in the third Test in Ahmedabad, he went wicketless.
