India’s Rishabh Pant who is making his return to T20I cricket after a considerable gap made eyes turn with a shot for the ages. The southpaw has made it a habit to come up with the most outrageous of shots. Not so long ago did Pant reverse-sweep James Anderson for a four in the fourth test in Ahmedabad. He has only gone and followed it up with yet another shot mirroring that he hit off Anderson.
India got off to a horror start as they lost KL Rahul for 1 off Jofra Archer‘s bowling as the opener played a wide ball on to his stumps. Things then got worse as Virat Kohli came up with a loose shot and hit Adil Rashid straight to the mid-off fielder. Shikhar Dhawan then followed as he was beaten for pace by a lightning quick Mark Wood delivery.

India were struggling to get going as they were dealt the two huge blows of Rahul and Kohli. Pant had hit the first boundary of the night to ease the pressure.
He then came up with the shot of the night to floor the Ahmedabad crowd as he shuffled and hit a good length delivery from Archer for a maximum over the slip cordon. The shot was well and truly a spectacle for the crowd to enjoy even as India were in trouble.
