Indian pacer T Natarajan made a dream debut during the recently-concluded tour of Australia. The 29-year old was expected to continue with his magnificent run during the upcoming limited-overs series against England as well. However, recent reports suggest that he is currently down with knee and shoulder injury which might rule him out from the T20Is.

The Tamil Nadu speedster is currently recovering at the NCA with a race against time to attain the desired fitness before the white-ball matches.

Speaking to ANI, sources in the NCA confirmed the development and said that they have not completely ruled. him out. However, it looks difficult for him to become match-ready ahead of the England series.

“He is down with a knee and shoulder injury and is in doubt for the T20I series. Will have to take it one day at a time and it is a race against time,” the source pointed.

Natarajan’s absence would definitely be a huge loss for the Indians as their key bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are already not there in the squad.
