In Doha, he claimed his second title of the year after overcoming Arthur Fils in the championship match.

After a difficult time in Doha, he earned his second title at the Dubai Tennis Championships after Tallon Griekspoor withdrew from the final match.
In Indian Wells, Medvedev has been in pristine form. He started his run with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Alejandro Tabilo in the second round. He followed it up with a 6-4, 6-0 rout of Sebastian Baez in the third before overcoming Alex Michelsen 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth round of the ATP Masters 1000. Carlos Alcaraz vs. Daniil Medvedev: Match Prediction
Carlos Alcaraz has not met Daniil Medvedev in a competitive match since 2024. Their paths didn’t cross throughout the 2025 season, as Medvedev struggled to reach the latter stages of big tournaments. But this season has been different for the Russian star, and he looks more confident on the court.

Also, with two titles on tour, Medvedev obviously believes he can win big titles on tour. However, Alcaraz leads the World No.11 6-2 in their head-to-head record on tour. The last time they met was at the 2024 China Open, where Alcaraz defeated the former World No.1 7-5, 6-3. Also, Alcaraz and Medvedev have a history at the Indian Wells Masters.
The pair met at the 2023 and 2024 finals of the competition, and Alcaraz won both matches in straight sets. So, Medvedev will be seeking revenge when he faces Alcaraz in the last four of the Indian Wells, Alcaraz will be focused on consolidating his place at the tournament, with the eye to win his 3rd title of the season.
Match Prediction: Carlos Alcaraz to win in three sets.
