By now, the West Coast teams have heard that Jalen Ramsey prefers them over any other region. That’s what ESPN insider Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show.
Ramsey wants to leave the Miami Dolphins, and Schefter revealed that a trade is imminent. There’s no set date, but he believes the deal will conclude before training camp.
[Jalen Ramsey] would like to go to the West Coast to the Los Angeles Rams, Chargers, or something like that. I think a trade will get done. The question is when… does it get done next week, the week after, or prior to the start of training camp?

A move back to the Rams, where he won a Super Bowl, makes the most sense. Rams head coach Sean McVay would love a reunion, but has all his options open.
Definitely don’t want to rule anything out because we’re always open-minded to onboarding and acquiring quality players and people like him if we’re able to do that, but there would be some obstacles that are real that are in the place of maybe preventing that from occurring.
Sean McVay said
Ramsey was set to enter his second year of the three-year, $72.30 million deal he signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2025 before general manager Chris Grier announced in April that they had agreed to mutually part ways and seek a trade.
Head coach Mike McDaniel refused to comment on it.
I don’t give a s**t about what I feel… I don’t even really go down that road of ‘how do I feel about it?’ My job is to react and control my controllables and make sure that people are moving in one direction appropriately.

Jalen Ramsey’s latest social media activity hints at his fascination with an AFC North side
Schefter’s report may have linked Ramsey to the Rams, Chargers, or the Raiders, but the All-Pro cornerback’s social media activity points to something else. Eagle-eyed fans went Instagram diving in search of Ramsey’s movements.

After carefully reviewing every detail, they found that the 30-year-old began following several profiles of Pittsburgh Steelers players. He is mainly following the Steelers’ secondaries, DeShon Elliott, Darius Slay Jr., Joey Porter Jr., and new high-profile wide receiver signing DK Metcalf.

As a matter of fact, Ramsey even left a like on a social media post titled ‘The New Vets on the Steelers,’ including Slay, Metcalf, and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Does Jalen Ramsey want to be a Steeler?

He just liked a post about the Steelers’ new vets… and Steelers Nation is running with it.

The Steelers are not in the market for another veteran DB because they are loaded. Elliott recently signed a two-year $12.5 million contract, while Slay is on a one-year $10 million deal, and Minkah Fitzpatrick is waiting for an extension as his four-year $73.61 million deal will end after this year.
However, a team cannot have enough top-caliber corners, especially when that player has a ring. Curt Popejoy of the Steelers Wire believes Mike Tomlin can make this work.
Adding Ramsey would allow the Steelers to move Darius Slay to the slot cornerback and give Pittsburgh one of the best three-man starting lineups in the AFC. This would also allow Beanie Bishop to come along more slowly and take the pressure off him to repeat his performance from last season.
Jalen Ramsey played every game for the Dolphins in 2024. He recorded 60 tackles, 11 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions.
