Inter Miami star Lionel Messi launches limited edition ‘GOAT’ wine collection

Lionel Messi added another feather to his already bedecked crown as he launched a limited edition of wine in partnership with Switzerland-based MM Winemaker. The man who has rewritten several records on the football field, is now set to touch the hearts of the oenophiles across the globe. The unveiling of the wine is an ode to his footballing greatness coupled with the classy sophistication that he brings off the field.
The prestigious wines called a Syrah and a Primitivo have been priced at €60 (£50) per bottle and are also available for purchase directly from the MM Winemaker website. At the age of 37, alongside his footballing magic, he continues to solidify his roots across the globe in terms of taste. This also comes in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo, another icon of the sport releasing his luxury watches which celebrates his greatness and was in partnership with Epic.
However, this isn’t Lionel Messi’s first rodeo in terms of winemaking. In a partnership with MM Winemaker, he has formerly introduced the Lionel collections featuring an array of diverse wines namely Pinot Grigio, Nero d’Avola, Grillo, Chardonnay and way more. MM Winemaker, despite being Swiss, has their roots deeply entrenched in Italy.
Lionel Messi isn’t a trailblazer, however, when it comes to footballers reaching out for the wine market. In fact, he simply kept his status at an all-time-elite continuing the phenomenal work alongside notable names like Andres Iniesta, David Silva, Andrea Pirlo, and Ronaldinho. MM Winemaker said that the latest wine released by Lionel Messi paid tribute to a true legend and combined exceptional quality with their rich winemaking heritage.
Is Lionel Messi going to sign a contract extension with Inter Miami?
Currently, there are a lot of speculations about Lionel Messi’s stay at Inter Miami. His contract comes to an end at the end of 2025 which might just open up new avenues for other clubs to try and swoop in the Argentine talisman from the Herons.
However, as reported by TyC Sports, Inter Miami have already plotted out an offer to extend Messi’s stay in the MLS which might see him until the end of 2026.
The report also stated that Lionel Messi is happy with how things have gone so far in Inter Miami and he doesn’t mind an extension. In fact, the report is assertive about the fact that he would love to sign another contract with Inter Miami, only if they are willing to offer one. Messi has been very comfortable ever since he set foot in Inter Miami as per the report, since he parted ways with PSG in 2023.
