The rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake is one of the hottest topics even in the NBA. Lamar, who appears to be winning the beef, had many players, including LeBron James, attend his live show. Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan even joined the rapper on stage. Now, DeRozan has taken things to another level as he appeared in the music video of the diss track.

Kendrick Lamar has taken the internet to storm with his Drake diss track Not Like Us. In the track, the rapper makes many references to roast Drake, including his Canadian background. One includes DeMar DeRozan, who played for the Toronto Raptors, Drake’s home team. The Canadian rapper is widely known as a basketball fan and shares a good bond with the Raptors, as he did with DeRozan.

DeRozan played on the Raptors for nine years before he was traded. Lamar also references that on the track which was the reason the NBA star featured in the music video. The lyric says, ‘I’m glad DeRoz came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither.’ Considering both Lamar and DeRozan are from Compton, the rapper was relieved that the player was ‘home.’

DeRozan was extremely unhappy when his drafting team, the Raptors, traded him. This could indicate why Lamar stated that the city does not ‘deserve’ him and invited the star while he performed the song. DeRozan also appeared in the video at the exact time the lyrics were sung by Lamar, which sent the internet into a frenzy.
