Over the past few weeks, Chad Gable has been on a mission to find an effective solution against the Luchadors. The 39-year-old went on an excursion to Mexico as part of his mission, where he was handed a box. Shortly after that, a masked man started appearing on Raw who had the same moveset and a similar taunt as the former Tag Team Champion.

The latest episode of Raw featured a promotional video for this masked wrestler who appeared on Raw two weeks ago. The video showed a map of North America where the previously known Gulf of Mexico was named as the Gulf of America. This change in name was brought about by an executive order by the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

The company has already been under a lot of fire for its alleged right-wing ideologies. In fact, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon recently got appointed as the Secretary of Education in Trump’s cabinet. Her family members, such as Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon, were also seen at her hearing.

Several other WWE superstars and legends are known for following a similar political ideology. Hulk Hogan was a huge advocate of Donald Trump leading up to the 2024 Presidential elections. Other Hall of Famers like The Undertaker and Kane also urged their fans to vote for the Republican candidate.

Wrestling fans were taken aback after WWE mentioned the location as Gulf of America. They expressed their frustration with the company’s political direction. Some brushed it off by saying that the promotion was only using the name that the government now refers to. Thus, it didn’t imply anything huge. Furthermore, it was probably a part of his All-American gimmick and him being an American Luchador.

Social media users continued to express their frustration about the company’s politics and also pointed out that while they used the Gulf of America name, the promotion had made no reference to Black History month at all during the month of February. In years past, The Stamford-based promotion often aired vignettes on Raw and SmackDown celebrating the occasion, and took pride in its wrestlers who came from an African-American lineage. However, this was not the case this year.

Many netizens also pointed out most of this promotional video package was made using AI. They believed that being a multi-billion dollar company, WWE should create such videos utilizing professional graphic designers, rather than finding the easy way out with artificial intelligence.

Matt Riddle believes Chad Gable could have a successful career in MMA

Chad Gable famously had a career in amateur wrestling before making a transition toward WWE. He even represented USA as a wrestler at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. It is this background that gives him his technical mat skills. This is also why fans often draw comparisons between him and Kurt Angle. Additionally, Matt Riddle believes that he can replicate this success in another combat sport.

During a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Matt Riddle was asked which WWE superstar he thought could make a successful transition to MMA. The Original Bro named Gable. He believed that if the former Tag Team Champion needed to work on his jiu-jitsu, he would soon find himself dominating in MMA. After all, he was an Olympic wrestler.

He was an Olympic wrestler. High-level wrestler. He gets a couple of guys, a couple of strikers. He will smash them and wipe the mat with them. So I think him.

Of course, Riddle himself is an example of a UFC fighter who made a successful transition over to professional wrestling. There are also many stories of people who made a transition in the opposite direction. For example, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, and CM Punk have all had MMA stints when they took a break from pro wrestling.
