Social Media erupted after watching Kim Yeji‘s phenomenal display at the Paris Olympics. The South Korean Markswoman has become the star of the Olympic Games due to her cool demeanor. She won silver at the Games, but it is her main character energy that is getting more attention.
Kim Yeji won silver at the women’s 10 meter air pistol event in Paris on 28 July following her roommate Oh Ye Jin‘s victory, who took gold. The internet absolutely loved Yeji’s style of shooting. She wore a white backwards-facing cap and Terminator-style glasses while shooting with one arm in the pocket.
Videos of her competing at the Paris Olympics and the Baku World Cup in May this year has started going viral as she was consistent with her cold gaze in both events.
What further nudged the fans to go head over heels for the South Korean shooter was the elephant doll that she carried. When she was shooting, she held the doll to remember her daughter, which was a stark contrast to her black cat energy.
Kim Yeji took the internet by a storm with her nonchalance. When the results of her record appeared on screen, she was unrealistically casual about it. This was at the time when she broke the world record in the 25m pistol-event. When reporters asked her what area she thought she had to improve, she replied with that very same badass energy. She simply said that there was ‘nothing’ to improve.

Kim Yeji gained alot of fans at the Paris Olympics. They simply couldn’t keep calm at the shooter‘s attitude that came straight out of an action movie.
They started making memes of her collaged with action movie characters. What’s more is that Elon Musk joined in on the jokes, saying that she should be cast in an action movie and no action would be required. Adding on to that, he tweeted,

It was hard to get over and fans didn’t waste their time expressing it.
The obsession went beyond the boundaries of preferences this time around. Bad luck for the lesbians as they learnt that she is a straight woman and a mother.

One user tweeted, “Give her gold for the coolness factor alone“. While that’s not how the Olympics work, nobody really had any reason to argue.
Kim Yeji absolutely smashed the internet with her world records and more than that her ‘aura’. The 31-year-old South Korean shooter will now head to the 25-m pistol precision qualifier on 2nd of August. She will be joined by her South Korean compatriot Oh Ye Jin as she aims for gold.
