As the Indian cricket team gears up for the ultimate showdown in Barbados, former Pakistan captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq had another poke at India captain, Rohit Sharma. When Sharma was asked about the reverse-swinging accusation made by Inzee, the Indian skipper was crystal clear on what his take on the Indian bowling was.

Inzamam-ul-Haq who formerly led the Pakistan cricket team accused the Indian cricket team of resorting to unfair means to get the ball to move around. Rohit Sharma clarified that he possibly isn’t watching the games properly. Reverse swing is happening in every single match of the T20 World Cup.

First thing is that Rohit has admitted that it’s happening. So it means what we observed is correct. Second thing, there is no need for Rohit to tell us how reverse swing happens, under how much sun, on what pitch, you don’t need to teach it to someone who taught the world. Tell him it’s not right to talk these things.
Inzamam-ul-Haq said to a Pakistani news channel

Inzamam-ul-Haq further added that he never accused India of cheating or ball tampering. He just wanted to alert the umpires, just in case.

How the Indian fast-bowlers have fared so far?

The Indian fast-bowlers have done an incredible job so far and continues to rule the roost. With the spinners coming in late in the party, it was the fast bowlers who did the damage in the earlier games.

The Indian fast-bowling quartet of Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Siraj has claimed 36 wickets of the 56 that has been claimed by India so far. Bumrah and Singh have also become India’s leading wicket-takers in the history of T20 World Cup with 13 scalps and 15 scalps respectively.

As India gears up for the mega clash on Saturday, they will be expecting to continue their fine run and will be hopeful of a similarly triumphant showdown as the Proteas awaits. A lot of eyes will once again be on the Indian bowling unit that has been an absolute rock for Team India.
