England and Australia players arrive in Dubai.

With the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) just a day away, England and Australia players have arrived in Dubai, covered in PPE kits from head to toe, and by the looks of it, it’s hard to point out differences between them.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) along with other teams can finally breath easy as the players arrived. RR was the first to tweet the picture of its players.

The players who touched base in United Arab Emirates (UAE) ahead of IPL 2020 are Steve Smith, Tom Curran, Andrew Tye and Jofra Archer. Royals’ official Twitter handles on Thursday shared a tweet: “Four new arrivals. Can you guess who’s who? #Hallabol #RoyalsFamily”

Mandatory 36 hours isolation period

Players undergo mandatory 36 hours isolation period.

A picture of David Warner and Pat Cummins in PPE kits after arriving in Dubai has been going viral on social media. 21 players from Australia and England who arrived in Dubai will undergo mandatory 36 hours isolation period in hotel rooms.

The isolation period of these players is much less than the players who maintained 6 day period after arriving in UAE from India. Eng-Aus players will now have to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test for the novel coronavirus.

The players of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) comprises Tom Banton, Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan will proceed for Abu Dhabi where the franchise is based after 36 hours.

The KKR and defending champions Mumbai Indians are the two franchises which are based in Abu Dhabi while the remaining six teams are in Dubai.

While the Dubai government has agreed to relax the rules, the Abu Dhabi government has so far refused to relax their 14-day quarantine rule regardless of the result of the COVID-19 tests.

The Rohit-led Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Dhoni’s Yellow Army in the opening match of IPL 2020 on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.
