Delhi Capitals were dealt a reality check in their previous match as they fell agonizingly short of winning their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Despite the loss, there were a plethora of positives to take and DC would want to keep their good run of form in the tournament going.
The Rishabh Pant-led side have four wins out of their first six matches and have looked like a well-oiled unit that have all bases covered. Without much need for change, they would want to secure a win over Rajasthan Royals that would get them to five wins at the halfway point. If they do so, their road to the playoffs would be extremely simple.
Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders have not had a first half of the season they would have liked. The Eoin Morgan-led side won their first match of the season before slumping to four defeats in a row. Nothing seemed to be going right for them as opponents were able to brush them aside with ease.
However, KKR got their tournament back on track in their previous match where they defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) with a disciplined bowling performance. Rahul Tripathi and Eoin Morgan were then assured with the bat to help them to an important win. Another win today would give the side the confidence going into the second half of the league stages.
