IPL 2021: List of players who have pulled out of the tournament so far

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently underway in Mumbai and Chennai and is in full flow with the usual entertainment, thrills and spills associated with it. Being a markedly different tournament this year despite the fact that it has returned to India, due to there being no crowds and because of the bio-bubbles being implemented. Further, this is the first time that a caravan format is being followed.
With the quality of cricket as well as the intensity being top-notch, there is always bound to be injuries that occur during the course of such tournaments. This year’s IPL is no exception as well, with players having already been ruled out due to injuries. Further, certain other players have also pulled out of the tournament due to fatigue over living in a bio-bubble and due to other personal reasons.
A plethora of players have pulled out/have been ruled out of IPL 2021

Now, there were certain players who pulled out of the auction in order to avoid being picked by a side before pulling out. Examples are Mark Wood and Dale Steyn with both deciding on the same for personal reasons. There were then three Australians who withdrew in order to concentrate on the Australian domestic circuits ahead of the Ashes. They were Josh Phillippe, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Hazlewood.
An injury before the tournament ruled Shreyas Iyer and Rinku Singh out of their respective sides while players like T Natarajan and Ben Stokes were ruled out of the tournament due to injuries suffered/aggravated during the course of the tournament. Jofra Archer was doubtful to take part in the IPL right from the beginning due to an injury and it was confirmed that he would not take part as well. Also, Liam Livingstone withdrew from the tournament after being a part of the camp for the first few games due to bio-bubble fatigue.
