IPL 2021: New anthem launched for IPL 14

The official broadcasters of the Indian Premier League 2021, Star Sports have released a new anthem for the 14th season of the cash-rich league. IPL 14, which is set to kick off on April 9, has a tagline called #IndiaKaApnaMantra this time around which also turns out to be the title of the new anthem.

Star Sports took to Twitter to announce, the new IPL anthem. The caption read, “#VIVOIPL 2021 Anthem salutes the new, bold and confident spirit of India. Let’s all believe in #IndiaKaApnaMantra. Tell us what you think will be your team’s Success Mantra this season. #VIVOIPL 2021 – Starts from April 9th!

The video revolves around India’s true success mantra which revolves around passion. The video features IPL stars in Punjab Kings’ KL Rahul, Kolkata Knight Riders Shubman Gill, Delhi Capitals Rishabh Pant along with Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma.

IPL to be played behind closed doors

The 2020 edition of the tournament which was played in the UAE was played behind closed doors without spectators. The same is set to continue this year as well despite the fact that crowds were allowed back in for the recently concluded test series between India and England in both Chennai and Ahmedabad. Strict bio-bubble restrictions have also been put in place for the tournament this year like the last.

There will be as many as 11 double header games in which 6 teams will play three afternoon matches while two teams will play two afternoon matches. All night matches will begin at 7:30 PM IST while afternoon games will begin at 3:30 PM IST.
