IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore issue warning to Dan Christian for ‘breach of contract’
Dan Christian
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise have issued a warning to their player Dan Christian for a breach of contract. The 37-year-old Australian is a part of the Virat Kohli-led franchise and in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season so far, he has had forgettable outings, scoring just 3 runs in 3 innings. He hasn’t picked up a single wicket with the ball either and Daniel Sams has been picked over him in the last two matches.
Now, Christian appeared on a podcast called ‘The Grade Cricketer’ along with Kyle Jamieson and gave insights into the RCB camp. Among other things, he talked of Virat Kohli’s captaincy and of how he is seldom seen off the field. He also spoke of Harshal Patel and how he gets wickets of bad balls. Jamieson also revealed as to how Kohli wanted him to bowl with the Duke’s Ball to him due to the WTC final approaching.
The Grade Cricketer take down the video
The Grade Cricketer took down the video as a result of RCB giving Christian a warning for his statements during the interview going against the franchise’s policies.
“Earlier this afternoon, we were informed by Dan Christian that he has been issued a warning for ‘breach of contract’ following his appearance on The Grade Cricketer earlier this week. We don’t know if the same was applied to Kyle Jamieson. Dan was asked to request us to take the interview down by RCB. On account for our respect for Dan and his contract, we’ve taken it down,” The Grade Cricketer told on their YouTube channel.
With regard to cricketing action, RCB are currently on the third spot, having won 5 matches out of their first 7.
