Delhi Capitals emerged out on top against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday as they defeated them by seven wickets. Suresh Raina scored a magnificent 54 off just 36 deliveries to guide CSK to 188. But it went in vain as Capitals’ opener Prithvi Shaw (72 runs) and Shikhar Dhawan (85 runs) took the game away from Chennai. It was a proud moment for Rishabh Pant to win his first match as a captain and that too against MS Dhoni

Despite losing the match, CSK fans were happy to Suresh Raina make a comeback in Yellow jersey after missing out in the previous edition due to personal reasons. It was the perfect start for Chinna Thala and would love to deliver such performances in upcoming matches.

The Chennai Super Kings uploaded a video on their website where they interviewed Suresh Raina. He was extremely happy to wear the yellow jersey again and is proud to be back in the CSK camp along with MS Dhoni.

“It feels amazing to be back with MS Dhoni and the Chennai Super Kings. It is always good to contribute to a side that has done so much for the players, who have done so much for every person. It is always good to be back and wear this yellow colour. It’s a pride that I have cherished all my life,” said Raina.

Raina had mixed emotions after the game as he was unhappy to be on the losing side but delighted to have made a comeback and perform for CSK.

“A bit disappointed to lose the game, it could have been better, but like I said it is always to come back and do the Whistle Podu,” added Raina.

He believed that if CSK had added 20 runs more the result could have been different. He also stated that good training sessions in the upcoming days would help them deliver better the next time.

“It could have been better if we would have scored 15-20 runs more but I think we bowled better in the middle overs, in the next few days we will have a few good practice sessions where can we learn what to do better,” continued Raina.

Chennai Super Kings will take on Punjab Kings in their next fixture to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 16th April.
