IPL 2021: Twitter reacts as Ravindra Jadeja blows away Royal Challengers Bangalore with an all-round performance for the ages

Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja produced one of the best all-round performances in this year’s IPL and potentially of all time as he returned figures of 3/13 in four overs to go with one direct hit run-out and his knock of 62 runs in 28 balls. Everything seemed to go perfectly well for the all-rounder as he had the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) players flummoxed throughout the course of the match as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) raced to victory.
Earlier, CSK won the toss and opted to bat first despite the fact that RCB skipper Virat Kohli opined that the pitch would not deteriorate much. The Men in Yellow’s openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis got their side off to a fluent start yet again. However, after their dismissals and those of Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu, CSK slowed down a bit and there was a period of lull.

It was then the Ravindra Jadeja show as he hit Harshal Patel who had taken 3/14 in 3 overs till then, to the cleaners. The final over of the innings went for as many as 37 runs as the all-rounder went berserk and showed no mercy to the bowler who looked clueless by the time the over got over. The knock of 62 runs in just 28 balls helped CSK accelerate and end on a score of 191/4 in 20 overs.
In the chase which RCB began in fluent fashion, it was Jadeja who was at it again as he picked up three wickets and important ones at that as he sent back Washington Sundar and also bowled AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell. He also contributed with a direct-hit run-out that got rid of Dan Christian.
This is how Twitter reacted to Jadeja’s performance.
