Mumbai Indians (MI), off the back of a superb comeback victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), faced Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today with the Orange Army looking for their first win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Winning the toss and for the first time in this season, MI opted to bat first while bringing in Adam Milne instead of Marco Jansen. SRH on the other hand, made four changes.

Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock got MI off to a good start as they produce the fireworks in the Powerplay on a difficult pitch to bat on. However, after the former’s wicket, the latter slowed down and Suryakumar Yadav‘s dismissal did not help. Even as SRH kept bowling tightly, Kieron Pollard got opportunities to free his arms with the Afghani duo Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan looking dangerous with the ball.

In the 16th over of MI’s innings bowled by Rashid Khan, Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan found the going extremely touch as the wily Afghani kept displaying his excellent variations. With the pressure building, Warner decided to hand over the ball to Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He was then welcomed into the attack by an absolute brute of a shot that saw Pollard hit him for the biggest six of the season so far.

Taking on a short ball by Mujeeb, Pollard clubbed the bowler over long on off the back foot. The ball also went out of the MA Chidambaram Stadium, hitting the roof and bouncing back in. The ball travelled 105 meters which is the biggest six in the season beating Glenn Maxwell‘s 100-meter effort.
