“I’m feeling relieved, to be honest, we wanted this one badly. We knew playing against the defending champions is always going to be tough, they played 4 games here (in Chennai) already. To actually get this win is fantastic for the team and for the Universe Boss as well,” Chris Gayle told Arshdeep in a candid chat for iplt20.com.

The big West Indian also leapt praises for the Kings skipper KL Rahul who scored an unbeaten half-century during that game. Gayle said that PBKS needed a set batsman to finish the game on this track and KL did a fantastic job.
“Our captain played a fantastic inning, we always said we need a set batter on this wicket. And to actually ease the pressure off him and to finish the game, I thought he did a brilliant job from a batting point of view. Mayank and the captain set the tone and made it a bit easier,” he added
Punjab Kings is now scheduled to lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
