IPL 2021: Who’s going to win today’s match? – PBKS vs RCB, Match 26

Punjab Kings (PBKS) take on high-flying Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The KL Rahul-led side have been woefully inconsistent in the season so far and seem to have a plethora of issues to address. Virat Kohli-s RCB on the other hand are on a roll at the moment and have suffered just one loss in their first six matches in the tournament.

PBKS would be desperate for a turnaround as they now find themselves on the sixth spot, having won just two matches out of their first six. A win today would bode well for them and keep them confident of a good second half of the league stages to potentially sneak through to the playoffs. However, against RCB who seem to have all bases covered, it would not be easy at all and would take a huge effort.

Who will win today’s match: PBKS vs RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore would be favourites to get a win today, without a doubt. Despite their batting line-up looking a bit shallow, the wealth of talent in the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers should be enough to deal with the PBKS bowling attack that has not inspired confidence so far. With RCB’s death bowling also looking good apart from the mishap against Chennai Super Kings, they would fancy their chances.

For PBKS, the top order will have to deliver once again. With a not so deep batting line-up and a not so deep bowling line-up as well, the Kings seem to lack balance. Further, the team has been susceptible to collapses and another one today would put them in a spot of bother. Unless the likes of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle score big, RCB would have it easy.

Prediction: RCB to win
