IPL 2021: Who’s going to win today’s match? – SRH vs DC, Match 20

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will go head-to-head today in the second match of the double-header against Delhi Capitals (DC) in what is the final match of the season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both sides secured wins in their previous matches and hence, the mood is bound to be upbeat, although more so in DC because of their comfortable position on the points table.

SRH lost all of their first three matches before bouncing back with a win against Punjab Kings (PBKS). DC on the other hand, have lost just one match out of their first four, which came against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a last-over thriller. With both sides going head-to-head off the back of wins and comprehensive ones at that, this could turn out to be a cracker of a contest in Chennai.

Delhi Capitals will be favourites to win this match due to how well they have gone about matches in the tournament so far. Their batters led by Shikhar Dhawan are in excellent form and apart from the match against RR, the middle-order hasn’t been needed much at all. Even with ace bowler Kagiso Rabada out of form, the Indian bowlers have been able to perform remarkably well to secure wins.

SRH on the other hand have only just got to some sort of form. After botching up easy chases, the return of Kane Williamson provided much-needed stability to the side. Even with the ice-cool New Zealander back, defeating DC would be an extremely difficult job. Unless there is some excellent contributions from the SRH top order, this could be DC’s game.
