IPL 2021: Who’s going to win today’s match? – SRH vs MI, Match 31

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) face Mumbai Indians (MI) today at the Feroz Shah Kotla (Arun Jaitley Stadium) in Delhi in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The Orange Army are in dire straits at the moment, having won just one match out of their first seven. Unless they win at least six matches out of the remaining seven, which seems highly unlikely, they won’t be able to make it to the playoffs.

MI on the other hand are well-placed as they have won four of their first seven and are on course for a place in the playoffs. Two consecutive wins including a last-ball thriller against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is bound to have increased their confidence. They will look to make it three in a row and put pressure on the likes of CSK, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who are above them.

Mumbai Indians will be the overwhelming favourites to win this and a loss for them today would be a huge surprise. SRH are in horrendous form at the moment and their team balance just does not look up to the mark. The same weaknesses continue to remain, but it remains to be seen if more changes will be made to their side and if former captain David Warner might be recalled to the line-up.

MI’s batting has found much-needed form and their middle-order has finally started to fire. This seems like a perfect recipe for yet another title-winning run from the defending champions. Although there is a long way to go for that, the Rohit Sharma-led side will definitely be one of the top contenders to make it to the playoffs and potentially lift the trophy as well. As for today, a MI win could be in the offing.

Prediction: MI to win
