IPL 2021: PBKS post a hilarious summary of win over RCB with a picture of Chris Gayle and Yuzvendra Chahal

Chris Gayle and Yuzvendra Chahal

Punjab Kings (PBKS) took on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) yesterday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and came up trumps. It was a stupendous all-round effort by Harpreet Brar who was playing his first match of the season that did the trick for PBKS as he score a quick-fire cameo with the bat, picked up three crucial wickets with the ball and was also electric in the field.

Skipper KL Rahul was also impressive like he most often is, as he scored an unbeaten 91 to bail his side out of danger following a dramatic middle order collapse. With the win, PBKS climbed to the fifth spot on the points table while RCB remained on the third spot. While the former have 3 wins, the latter are still sitting pretty with 5 wins but they would want to close the gap on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) who are above them.

Action from the match

PBKS posted a hilarious and cheeky picture of their player Chris Gayle along with his friend and RCB spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The two had their shirts off in the picture and were seen flexing their muscles. The picture is already going viral for the contrast between the West Indian and the Indian spinner. However, with regard to PBKS’ post, it is the caption which has garnered the most attention.

PBKS wrote, “If we have to summarize PBKS vs RCB” pointing that their performance was huge like Gayle while RCB were tiny in front of them like Chahal is. While some fans have taken it in the right spirit and appreciated the humour sense and the cheeky dig by PBKS, others have criticized the post.
