UFC star Conor McGregor crashed the White House on St Patrick’s Day for what he billed as his country’s “most important meeting.” ‘The Notorious’ made an impromptu visit to the White House in Washington, D.C., and POTUS Donald Trump. He met up with Trump administration officials – at a podium media brief at the White House Press Room – flanked by spokeswoman/press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Conor McGregor went viral for staging the issues of Ireland instead of immigrants ‘pawning.’ He slammed a ravage illegal immigrant racket and how the current government responds to it. He even wanted to reform the Dáil Éireann (House of Representatives of the Oireachtas/AKA Irish Parliament) for not aligning with the common man’s needs. However, Tanaiste (deputy prime minister) Simon Harris discarded McGregor’s talks as one of import.

He doesn’t speak for Ireland, …He doesn’t speak for the people of Ireland. He has no mandate to do such. My views on him are very clear, well established, previously articulated — I don’t want to comment on a matter that may well end up before the courts again, other than to say I’ve spoken to Nikita Hand; “I admire her bravery, her courage, and I’d much rather be talking about Nikita Hand than Conor McGregor, quite frankly.

Irish tabloids dismissed McGregor, with one noting that even the crime victims the Irishman cited did not support his anti-immigrant positions. Others have disassociated after the Dublin Jury’s guilty verdict on the assault of one Nikita Hand. It even slapped him with €248,000 in damages, along with legal waivers for Hand.

He’s also the subject of a lawsuit over allegations of assault at a 2023 NBA finals in Miami. Some have especially dumbed down the co-association with Donald Trump and a call to arms. The three-time GOP nominee and now-POTUS was found liable for abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll in 1996.

One comment on tattoos and McGregor jumped the gun on his plea for help? Charles Oliveira, who was nonchalant to Trump’s combative visit during UFC 309 PPV, said it might be. He thought that McGregor’s focus is splintered beyond measure. Others have commented on McGregor’s visit as well.

Top names denounce Conor McGregor’s call to arms

Conor McGregor has long squabbled with the Garda and current Irish guard for not serving Ireland’s people. He recently went full blast against the choice to convert an Irish pub site to an IPAS (International Protection Accommodation Services) center for asylum seekers. Per ‘Notorious’, Ireland should deal with Ireland’s problems, not outsiders.

To that end, he told Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE) that his 21-home housing development for The Large Scale Residential Development (LRD) application is now 300+ units strong and growing. McGregor has made positive estate development ventures for the Irish working man, not ‘hired’ talent pool and immigrants.

However, Ireland’s tabloid does not feel the same way. Some are much more lenient. Taking to X to denounce McGregor’s message was Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, who had a rough squabble at the White House with Donald Trump last week.

St. Patrick’s Day around the world is a day rooted in community, humanity, friendship and fellowship. Conor McGregor’s remarks are wrong, and do not reflect the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, or the views of the people of Ireland.

Micheál Martin wrote

Donald Trump’s staunch take on immigration hires has bolstered McGregor’s position. Trump and his imperial scrub of Panama, Greenland, Canada, Gaza, and Mexico have caught the eye. Now, Conor McGregor wants stern measures in Ireland as well. It remains to be seen if anything more comes out of this meeting.
