Is Braun Strowman joining Retribution?
The Mustafa Ali-led group of Retribution has failed to get the WWE Universe excited since they debuted on Raw. Their initial appearances on WWE just had them interfere in different matches without a clear purpose. WWE involved them in a feud with The Hurt Business, which turned out to be disastrous for them.
Retribution failed to win a single match against The Hurt Business. The downfall of the group continued when The Fiend single-handedly took out the entire group. But the tide finally turned for the group a week before WWE’s Survivor Series. Retribution earned their first win since their debut. They defeated Team Raw in a 5-man tag team match.
Strowman calls out WWE over backstage politics
One of the members on Team Raw was Braun Strowman. Although they lost to Retribution, they managed to win against Team Smackdown with a clean sweep. WWE official Adam Pearce decided to offer WWE title opportunity to the victorious Team Raw.
But Braun felt that he deserved the chance over the other members of team. He did not see the need to justify his suitability for the chance. Strowman got angry and attacked the WWE official. As a consequence, not only was he removed the title shot opportunity. But has also been indefinitely suspended from the company.
Strowman took to Twitter to complain against WWE’s backstage politics. Retribution’s T-Bar replied to the tweet by tagging their leader Mustafa Ali. Retribution is a group of wrestlers that have been wronged by WWE. Now Strowman feels he has been wronged too. So there is a possibility that Strowman might join the rebellious group.
Addition of “The monster among Men” is bound to give a boost to the Retribution. While these are just speculations as of now, it would definitely be interesting to see Strowman join the group.
