Could there be a new music-sports couple in town? It seems so, as New York Jets star Sauce Gardner is rumored to be dating Ice Spice.

It all started with a few subtle hints, which of course caught the attention of the fans. A video surfaced showing the American rapper Ice Spice, originally known as Isis Naija Gaston, with the Jets star cornerback in the background. Social media platforms lit up with dating speculations since then, as fans began to wonder if these two were more than just friends.

In the video, shared on February 27, Ice Spice and Gardner were seen riding on an escalator in a mall and it has swiftly gathered thousands of views. Though it could have been because of the man, content creator Javier Romero, before them dancing fervently to music from his speaker.

If the rumors turn out to be true, they could join the ranks of high-profile NFL and music star couples, alongside the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his superstar girlfriend, Swift. Particularly since Ice Spice is friends with the 14-time Grammy winner and has even attended a Chiefs game with her. 

As of now, neither Ice Spice nor Gardner has officially confirmed their relationship status, their interaction suggests a strong connection. As that went viral, fans dug up some history between the award-winning rapper and the NFL star. 

Sauce Gardner and Ice Spice’s growing connection with history of public appearances

Their path first crossed publicly in 2024, when they both featured on the popular show “The Shop,” alongside NBA legend LeBron James and renowned rapper Travis Scott. Looks like Gardner and Ice Spice have been moving in similar circles for at least a year.

Previously in September 2024, Ice Spice also attended a Jets game, however, it didn’t raise many eyebrows at that time, especially given her roots in the Bronx. Fast-forward to February 12, they were also spotted entering a New York club together for the premier of Druski’s dating show, “Could Been Love.” 

A few days later, both Gardner and Ice Spice posted photos of Carbone’s famous pasta with spicy vodka sauce from a restaurant on their respective social media handles, which also went unnoticed by many despite the striking resemblance to each other. Connecting the dots, it seems likely that they might have been on a date together, adding to the speculation about a brewing romance between the two.
