Is the reign of Golden State Warriors over?

The Golden State Warrior have surely been the most dominant team last decade. Having appeared in the NBA Finals on 5 occasions, Warriors surely had nothing to prove. Led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, the Warriors have had one of the most balanced side in the modern-day NBA. But it all seems to have come to an end, especially after last season when both Curry and Thompson were injured, the Dubs registered their worst season in their history, finishing last in the Western Conference. 

However, this season saw the return of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. With Green still not being able to play for the franchise due to respective reason, Curry seems to be all-alone trying to re-group the roster. After Klay Thompson’s potential season-ending injury, the franchise opted in for Kelly Oubre Jr. and James Wiseman to support Stephen Curry. But so far, it hasn’t been going well for the Dubs. 

Golden State Warriors loss to Milwaukee Bucks 

The Golden State Warriors opened their 2020-21 season against Kevin Durant’s Brooklyn Nets. The Dubs suffered an embarrassing defeat by more than 25 points. To an extent that both Durant and Kyrie Irving were given a rest much earlier than expected. Many thought it would be ‘one-time defeat’ in the long remaining season. Many questions were raised about the defensive vulnerability of the Warriors.  

This time around, the Milwaukee Bucks registered a 39-point victory over the Warriors, with Khris Middleton leading the charge. James Wiseman and Andrew Wiggins registered a low yet decent contribution. Curry was left all alone yet again. It has a raised a serious concern on social media among the Dubs’ fans whether they combination playing is right or not. After being named one of the leading NBA contenders, this is hard for the DubNation to take in. Having said that, with the least to say, Draymond Green shall return quickly for the Warriors to be able to turn the tables.
