WWE is riding high on the road to WrestleMania, and the excitement is off the charts. Triple H has done an incredible job making this year’s event an unpredictable thrill ride for fans. However, despite his best efforts, some things don’t seem to be falling into place. This raises the question—could The Game be experiencing creative burnout?

Since the start of the year, WWE fans have had mixed feelings about the product. While there have been some incredible moments, decisions like The Rock’s controversial babyface turn and Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble booking have left many scratching their heads. On top of that, Triple H has struggled to properly build some of WWE’s major shows, raising concerns about his creative direction.

3. No follow-up on major stories

Triple H has struggled to deliver the next chapter in several ongoing storylines. Angles like AJ Styles and Bron Breakker’s confrontation on Raw felt meaningless despite strong fan interest. Similarly, tensions between Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss were teased at Elimination Chamber, yet there was no real follow-up. These missed opportunities have left fans frustrated with the lack of continuity.

WWE has been teasing a breakup between Austin Theory and Grayson Waller for months, but Triple H has stretched the storyline so long that fans have lost interest. On top of that, several talents are drifting aimlessly on the roster, despite WWE being in its hottest period on the road to WrestleMania.

This could be an indication that The Game currently lacks direction for various stars. Triple H has done an incredible job elevating WWE’s main event scene, but the lack of follow-up on storylines makes it difficult for fans to stay invested in many talents.

2. Boring episodes of SmackDown

SmackDown may be a three-hour show, but most episodes feel lacking in substance. The show often falls flat, with little progress in major storylines. Instead, it’s packed with filler promos and matches that have little to no impact on the future. This raises the question—could Triple H be struggling to keep up with the extended runtime of the blue brand?

Despite having top stars like Tiffany Stratton, Cody Rhodes, and Charlotte Flair, SmackDown still feels empty and uninspired. Once considered WWE’s premier show, its quality has now dipped below NXT. This has become a major concern for fans, as it puts the character development of key talents at risk on Friday nights.

There’s speculation that WWE might cut SmackDown back to two hours after WrestleMania. However, the bigger concern is the show’s weak storytelling. A prime example is Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship, a feud that had dream-match potential but has failed to deliver.

1. No progress in the tag division

Over the past few years, WWE’s tag team division has lost its spark. Currently, The Street Profits and The War Raiders hold the tag team gold, but their reigns have felt underwhelming. Since winning the titles, they haven’t been part of any major storylines and even struggle to get proper TV time—let alone meaningful promo segments.

As a result, WWE’s tag team division seems to be falling below the mark. Interestingly, Triple H hasn’t made any significant efforts to rebuild it over the past year. Despite having a roster full of talented teams, lackluster storytelling and rushed matches have left fans with little to no interest.

WWE’s current focus on factions has turned the tag team titles into little more than accessories for these groups. However, there was a time when these championships truly meant something, as seen during the reigns of The Usos and The New Day.
