Isaiah Stewart brawl attempt with Stephen Curry backfires as Warriors comeback against Pistons
Warriors star Stephen Curry did not hold back after recent altercation with Pistons star Isaiah Stewart in the NBA.

Isaiah Stewart and Stephen Curry
The Golden State Warriors played against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. All eyes were on the Warriors star man Stephen Curry going into the game. It’s safe to say that Curry and his teammates did not disappoint. However, the Warriors star made headlines for a particular incident involving Pistons star Isaiah Stewart.
In addition to his shot, Curry added some trash language to the Warriors’ matchup with the Pistons. Late in the 4th quarter, Curry made a trolling gesture towards the Pistons’ bench, which did not go down well with Steward. He retaliated. This led to a back-and-forth altercation between the two. Both of them were held back as more gestures and words were exchanged during their back-and-forth.
For the confrontation, Curry and Stewart got technical fouls. The two parties stood restrained. Even former Warriors guard Dennis Schroder involved himself. It was Stewart’s thirteenth tech and Curry’s first of the 2024–25 NBA season. Nevertheless, Curry had his usual top performance against the Pistons. He dropped 32 points on them at the Chase Center.

Since the arrival of Jimmy Butler, the Warriors are soaring in the West. With this win, they are now 36-28, and are 6th on the table. With Curry performing at his usual best, the DubNation can hope of securing a playoff spot before the end of the regular season. However, it won’t be easy as they face immense competition from the likes of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers.
Stephen Curry reaches an iconic feat in Pistons game
Stephen Curry, on Saturday, proved to his fans and doubters why he is one of the best in the business. Curry became the 26th NBA player to surpass 25,000 career points. He did it within the third quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ game versus the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. He hit a three-pointer at 8:32 in the third quarter to reach 25,000 points.

When he was honored during a break with 5:42 remaining, Curry received a warm ovation. Notably, the star turns 37 next Friday and is showing no signs of stopping. In addition, a few months ago, the four-time champion admitted that he is targeting the iconic 5th title with his Warriors side. With Curry turning 37 in a week, the clock is ticking for him.
In addition, his teammate Draymond Green also wishes the same thing: to win the historic 5th NBA title together with Curry. However, the Warriors are not contenders by the looks of their performances throughout the 2024-25 NBA season. So, they will have to do something big if they are to win the 2025 NBA title.
