Ever since Isaiah Stewart started showing off his wild side with the Detroit Pistons, many have come to believe that his tenacity and over-the-top playing style have become both a distraction and a positive for his team.
The impact has seen the franchise, which had become the league’s laughingstock, become the best in the East and may only be scratching the surface of what it can do. His head coach, JB Bickerstaff, has spoken at length about the 24-year-old’s outstanding defense, which has gone a long way in setting the tone for the way the team plays.
However, on many an occasion, his antics and tendency to start big brawls have also undermined his team. His past skirmishes have mostly been when he is in the game.
During their away game against the Charlotte Hornets, forward Moussa Diabate and Pistons center Jalen Duren started throwing hands at each other after a foul.
Even though their respective teammates tried to break it up, a certain Miles Bridges, known for his infamous domestic violence past, came over to throw punches at Duren.

Seeing this, Isaiah Stewart, who was sitting on the bench all this while, ran over to confront the Hornets forward. After Bridges tried to land a punch on the Pistons’ center, the New York native responded with a few punches of his own.
Fans fume as Isaiah Stewart joins the brawl from the bench
Basketball fans know that there is a strict rule that tries to stop bench players from joining an on-court brawl. Many have been suspended for multiple games for trying to help their teammates.
Fans hope that Isaiah Stewart gets a long suspension after running over to throw punches, even though the team staff had Miles Bridges under control. Check out examples of those reactions below:

dude is absolutely out of control. Ticking time bomb that happens to play basketball. It's like the basketball is secondary to him.

Isaiah Stewart has faced law enforcement, reprimands from his head coach, and the league in the past. But it seems when his blood boils, none of that matters.
Isaiah Stewart’s Pistons get the last laugh
Even though officials ejected all four of those players involved in the brawl, the battle proved the game’s importance to both of these teams. On one hand, the resurgent Charlotte Hornets were enjoying a nine-game winning streak.

Then the Pistons were trying to hold on to their top spot in the East, despite an embarrassing loss to the Wizards a few days ago. It seems the genuine fear was that the Hornets could topple the conference leader.
The Pistons just lost both their most important interior defenders to ejections. The home team tried to use that to its advantage and staged a rally in the fourth quarter.
However, it was not enough, as Isaiah Stewart’s Pistons had the last laugh, winning the game with a score of 110-104. Most importantly, this win set the tone that the conference leaders wanted to establish.
