Isiah Thomas names LeBron James as the Best Leader in the NBA
Hall of Famer and NBA Legend Isiah Thomas labels LeBron James as the best leader in the NBA. The latter came to Los Angeles Lakers with only one aim of winning the NBA Championship. Although that did not happen in the first season itself. But ever since LeBron had Anthony Davis by his side, was able to change the face of the LA Lakers again. He answered his critics by leading the Lakers’ to their 17th championship last season.
In a recent interview with “Inside the NBA”, NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas spoke about LeBron James and his leadership skills which is significantly helping the LA Lakers reach new heights. LeBron’s all-round performance on both ends of the court helped them cruise past Minnesota Timberwolves in their previous encounter.
“He’s the best leader in the NBA” Isiah Thomas on LeBron James
Thomas said, “[LeBron James] understands how to bring people together collectively off the court.
“He is the best leader right now in the NBA in terms of gathering, focusing a team, and moving them forward throughout the season.”
There is no doubt that Anthony Davis would also be counted as one of the leaders of the core group within the Lakers. But as long as LeBron James is present in the franchise, no one else could lead form the front. Speaking of the most valuable players for any franchise, James’ name is right at the top. For the past decade or so, he has been nothing but amazing and has mostly delivered for his team. That is something that has not changed during his tenure with the purple and gold.
Even Isiah Thomas believes that it is LeBron James who has led the Lakers to a good start since the start of the 2020-21 season with 2 wins out of 3 games. But as the Lakers play the Portland Trail Blazers next, let’s see how LeBron James performs.
