Israel Adesanya picks his winner for Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou rematch
Francis “The Predator” Ngannou vs Stipe Miocic rematch is surely a done deal. The only thing yet to decided is the date, as Stipe is enjoying his off-time, after recently defeating Daniel Cormier in a title bout. Francis, on the other hand, is hungry and raring to go as he has fought just once in the last 16 months. He has turned around his career remarkably after losing to Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis in back to back fights. With 4 devastating first round KOs after that, the Cameroonian is a raging bull, right now. The rematch is definitely going to be an absolute corker!
Elsewhere, middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has weighed-in on the much anticipated rematch, saying that he would be vouching for his beloved brother, Francis Ngannou.
“I am rooting for the brother” – Israel Adesanya on Francis Ngannou
Speaking of Ngannou, throwing light upon why Ngannou lost to Stipe the first time, Adesanya said, “I feel like Ngannou in that first fight was in love with his power. He knew if he touched people they would go to sleep. He knew that. He has learned from that first fight, and I feel he has grown from it. I have talked to him first-hand and I know what he is capable of. He’s a guy that you don’t want to get touched by. Now he knows. He is a smart fighter and I can’t wait. I am rooting for the brother.”
Francis Ngannou, for sure looks renewed and improved since his loss to Derrick Lewis. But, does that mean he will have it easy against the immensely technical Stipe Miocic, who always finds a way out in title bouts. Do you think Francis will come up trumps this time? Or will it be the veteran Stipe once again?
