A pair of undisputed UFC championship fights occupy the topmost spots of UFC 300’s stacked card. The featured headliner sees Alex Pereia‘s maiden defense. Ahead of the historic PPV card, old rival Israel Adesanya has stirred up their beef yet again.

Pereira bagged the 205lbs title at UFC 295. Preceding this, he defeated Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 to win the middleweight title. ‘The Last Stylebender‘ rematched Pereira and won back his gold at UFC 287 with a highlight second-round KO. This Sunday (April 9) marked the occasion of UFC 287: Pereira vs Adesanya 2, Kaseya Center In Miami, where he defeated ‘Poatan.’

Accordingly, the Nigerian took to his IG Stories (@stylebender) to post a diss at Alex Pereira’s losing affair. This comes as a last-ditch effort to stir the pot, given he sides with Jamahal Hill – UFC 300’s title contender. Hill even very recently enlisted Adesanya’s help, thus bolstering the acquaintance. During UFC 300’s Fight Week “Embedded” Vlog discourse, ‘Sweet Dreams’ told Nina Marie-Daniele how Adesanya gave him valuable pointers.

The Brazilian is 3-1 over Adesanya in MMA and GLORY Kickboxing. Hence, a prime reaction tweeted – “Bro’s bitter that a guy with a 9-2 MMA record that beat him three times is headlining the biggest card in UFC history and not him.” From losing to Sean Strickland to going disturbingly viral with his dog – the matter has spawned many such reactions against Adesanya.

Fight fans react to Israel Adesanya celebrating his old KO over Alex Pereira

Alex Pereira is on the heels of defending his gold at UFC 300. But a new (or old) looming threat arises as middleweight foe Israel Adesanya took to his social media handle to celebrate his KO win over him. It is not the first time he has done it, either.

Here’s how the MMA community has reacted:

2-0 since departing the weight class, the light heavyweight champion is quite the sensation. Poatan recently signed a new 8-fight contract before UFC 300. Fans have long alluded that the loss to Pereira must have stung for Adesanya. They do so now yet again.

The Nigerian had primarily tried to pin Pereira as being an ego-maniac, boasting his wins over him. A fan comments, “Man, Izzy really has turned into the ‘I beat that guy one-time’ persona he was tryna put on Alex.” Concurrently, some even gibe that Adesanya will always remain the guy who lost out his gold in a sudden upset to Strickland.

Some have, contrastingly, lauded his age-old win and true mettle as a champion. Most others have pointed out a tinge of jealous zeal as Pereira goes on to headline UFC 300. All in all, the matter has garnered a variety of reactions.
