Israel Adesanya’s move to uncharted territory didn’t go as planned as he succumbed to a unanimous decision victory against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259. Having conquered the middleweight division to the fullest, the ‘Last Stylebender’ decided to have a go at the light-heavyweight division – which unfortunately handed him his first MMA loss. Now, the Nigerian-born New Zealander has decided to come back to the middleweight division and it looks like he has an opponent in his mind.

Speaking about his fight plans, in an interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN MMA, Adesanya revealed that he would like to take on number 4 ranked middleweight contender Darren Till, if he manages to keep winning in the next few fights.

Darren Till is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Robert Whittaker in July 2020. The number 4 ranked middleweight contender will be expecting to get back on track when he takes on Marvin Vettori on the 10th of April, this year.

Adesanya has already from time to time expressed his desire to fight the Liverpool man. But now Till faces a very stiff challenge in the form of Marvin Vettori, who has never been finished in his entire career. The Italian, once came really close to defeating Israel Adesanya back in 2018.
