Adesanya’s performance at the main event was clinical, rather outstanding as it took him only two rounds to silence the haters who said he would be no match against the Brazilian.

Israel Adesanya looking for another fight this year

Despite already defending his belt twice this year, “The Last Stylebender” looks forward to fight again before the year ends. This year itself, Adesanya fought and comfortably defeated Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa to take his undefeated record to 20-0.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani (ESPN), Adesanya somewhat revealed his further plans for this year.

“I’m fresh. I wanna fight fast,” Adesanya said, speaking to ESPN. “This year. I want to fight this year. We’ll talk, we talked a little bit last night, but we’ll talk some more. I can’t say anything yet, but we got some plans. I want to fight again this year. I ain’t fucking around, Ariel, I ain’t fucking around. I’m fresh, bro.”

Adesanya was unfazed after the fight, claiming “My foot only hurts from kicking his ass.”

What’s next for Israel Adesanya

Jared Cannonier

Before the fight at UFC 253, Israel Adesanya announced his will to fight fellow middleweight contender Jared Cannonier next. Cannonier is scheduled to fight former middleweight champ at UFC 254.

Adesanya said, “If he kicks Whittaker’s a**, I’ll be happy to fight him. He DM’d me the other day and we plan to go at it like ‘Naruto and Sasuke’.” “We’ll see. We’ll see how they do,” he said.

Right now, Adesanya would have a load off his mind and would celebrate not just his title defense but also his overall 100th win in Combat Sports. One of the best in the business for a reason.
